Annual General Meeting of the IVM - Important please read
I trained and qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor and worked across a range of sectors, specialising in cost planning, construction economics and contracts. An MSc in the early 90’s provided the catalyst to switch direction into programme and project management and since that time I have amassed a wealth of experience in managing project and change initiatives, mainly for transportation and infrastructure clients. My MSc dissertation in value engineering and subsequent SAVE training, sparked a passion for value management and over the following 20 years I maintained a part-time interest in leading value studies, including the design, installation, training and roll-out of portfolio-wide value management applications for three client organisations.
I confess to being a life student in group dynamics and I am fascinated by the synergistic power of well managed teams. I enjoy helping clients solve their problems and I like nothing more than being able to blend value, risk, benefits and accounting techniques to achieve innovative solutions which improve business performance and deliver beyond clients’ expectations. I am currently an independent consultant helping organisations with programme and project strategy, planning, governance and driving better value from their investments.
