Three speakers with extensive experience of value management in various industries will introduce the theory of project value management and illustrate it with examples and case studies.
Manjit Bains, former chair of the Institute of Value Management, will explain the underlying principles of value management. Alasdair Hicks, former Risk & Value Manager and Development Manager at Network Rail, will illustrate how VM has been usefully applied to some projects in the railway industry. Finally, David Worsley, Railway Strategy Manager at Transport for the North, will explain how some differences in the application of VM between different industries exemplifies how VM is a varied toolkit that requires flexibility in its application.
There will be an opportunity for questions after the presentations. The material will be selected so that the event will be useful to both beginners in project management and intermediate professionals wanting to expand their knowledge.
