The IVM is the only UK based professional association exclusively committed to Value Management, and its application to BS EN12973:2020 and to competency-based Value Management training and certification in accordance with the Value for Europe Board’s Value Management Training and Certification system.
The IVM is actively involved with other National Value Associations (NVAs) to promote the worldwide use of Value Management. Membership of the IVM continues to grow and is open to anyone with an interest in Value Management. Membership of the IVM does not signify a qualification in Value Management.
The IVM promotes Value Management across all sectors of the economy. Its members come from a number of areas, including construction, utilities, transportation, public and commercial services, health care, government, manufacturing, information technology and telecom, as well as training and management. The IVM, through its independent Certification Board (National Certification Organisation – NCO), is responsible for implementing the Value for Europe (V4E) Certification and Training System (ETCS) within the UK and together with other NCOs across Europe and Worldwide.
The Institute’s Mission
Our mission is to enable our members to develop and promote the professional practice of managing sustainable value in accordance with BS EN12973:2020 and its related Standards, to secure and ensure economic and social wellbeing for organisations and citizens within the UK, and, Internationally.
The Institute’s Objectives:
- Increase membership in all sectors
- Be influential in government and industry, with the aim of promoting Value Management and its uptake and application to BS EN12973:2020
- Establish a co-ordinated communication strategy, including an exciting, informative and commercially active web-site
- Encourage professional certification in Value Management at three levels, to the V4E qualification standard, of; Qualified Value Associate (QVA), Professional in Value Management (PVM) and Trainer in Value Management (TVM).
